Every month – rain or shine! On the first Friday of every month, Oakland Art Murmur hosts an evening art walk featuring arts and mixed-use venues collectively open to the public. More than 40 galleries open their doors, debuting artist shows in what has been called “the new-old Brooklyn”. Art Murmur spans the neighborhoods from Uptown, Downtown, Lake Merritt, Jack London, Old Oakland, North Oakland, West Oakland and Jingletown. Lynne Meade Ceramics has a studio at FM Oakland and gives a live demo of wheel thrown pottery during Oakland Art Murmur First Friday. The pots made during the evening will be finished and available for purchase at next month’s event.

FM in Oakland Artist Collective Studio and Gallery
FM Oakland is a group of professional Bay Area artists who run their studios in the ever thriving Oakland Arts District. They open their doors monthly during the Art Murmur for open studios and a feature show in their gallery space.
Open every First Friday 6:00pm-9:00pm and Saturdays 1:00pm-5:00pm.

When visiting FM in Oakland’s downtown arts district, know that street parking is limited. We suggest the following.
Public Parking at YMCA Garage - covered garage option
24th Street and Webster, at 2353 Webster
6AM – 10PM
Monday through Friday
$7 early bird parking if you get there before 9AM (‘til 6PM)
Daily parking is $1 for every 30 minutes
Daily Maximum $10
