Tempest in a Teardrop
Tempest in a Teardrop

"Many carved porcelains are very shallow and the glaze creates the look of depth. Instead my carvings are so deep I almost make a sculpture."
—Lynne Meade
Form, function, beauty: vases are versatile and flexible, and beloved by potters for the variety of techniques, ideas, and aesthetics they embrace.
Julia Galloway, utilitarian potter and professor, selects Tempest in a Teardrop for 500 Vases, the tenth book devoted to ceramics in the popular series. It showcases the finest contemporary work from international artists, capturing the full spectrum of styles, each potter's original voice, and whenever possible, close-up details that truly capture the surface quality of the piece.
