Lynne Meade demonstrates how to trim a ceramic pot at the Palo Alto Art Center where she currently teaches

Lynne became a teaching assistant while attaining her B.A. in visual arts with a concentration in ceramics. Her passion for teaching rivaled that of her love of making. Pursuing a dual path as ceramic faculty member and artist, she has led basic to advanced workshops across the country. Along the way, many of Lynne’s students have gone on to enjoy professional careers in clay.

Since 1986 Lynne has been an instructor and guest lecturer at nine different art centers including New Jersey Center for the Visual Arts, five years at ASUC at UC Berkeley and eight years at MIT Student Art Association. Exploration and intensive half-day and week long workshops to quarter-based classes include throwing and hand building, nerikomi, carving and piercings for adults. Lynne currently teaches at Palo Alto Arts Center and Mill Valley Potter's Studio.

"It is wonderful to spend one day a week with people who not only put up with my endless need to talk about pottery, they actually are thrilled to hear it and ask all kinds of questions."
