  • Pennsylvania Convention Center 1101 Arch Street Philadelphia, PA, 19107 United States (map)

The 42nd Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 2-4, 2018, with a Preview Party on Thursday, November 1.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show announces 195 contemporary craft artists from 30 states who’ve been selected to participate in the 42nd Annual Craft Show. These artists have been chosen from more than 800 applicants by five national jurors to showcase and sell their one-of-a kind, museum quality pieces at this year’s show. The Guest Artist Program will feature 26 artists from Germany.

Produced by The Women’s Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the oldest organizations of women in support of a cultural institution in the county, this show of Art by Hand serves as the Museum’s largest yearly fundraising event and is devoted to bringing wide public attention to the field of craft art. Funds raised are used to purchase works of art and craft for the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to support exhibitions and education programs and to contribute to conservation and publication projects.

Approximately 15,000 visitors attend to preview and buy the works of contemporary craft in fiber, glass, wood, metal, clay by 195 of the best crafts artists in the United States.
