13th Annual Tour de Clay
ONLINE AND IN-PERSON TOUR
Tour de Clay is an annual a self-guided tour featuring three Tampa Bay area clay studios this year and the creative work of an impressive list of clay artists. Due to COVID-19, we are offering a virtual tour on-line experience OR you can still travel to each of the three studios on the tour to see the work first hand and make your purchases right there. Not all artists will be at the physical locations, but all artists will be represented in the virtual tour experience. Travel from studio to studio on line, enter each of the individual artists galleries and make your purchases there, check out, and then continue on with the virtual tour.
To make it easy for you to plan, Tour de Clay is always the second weekend in December. Each year features the work from 13 core members as well as a variety of guest artists. Great care is taken to bring fresh, new artists to the Tampa Bay Area just for this event.
Saturday — This day is dedicated to progressive studio presentations, which may include pottery demonstrations, kiln openings, or general discussions about the potters found at each studio location as well as a bit about their individual creations.
Sunday — The tour continues, those who have traveled to see all the studios often choose to return to the studios featuring work they would like to add to their own collection or perhaps pick up a piece for a holiday gift. Each studio features different kinds of demonstrations and opportunities to participate.
